The Potato Foundation is formed
Introduction of The Potato Foundation and its board members
After 28 year years, Meijer Beheer B.V. decided last year to transfer its shares in the Joint Venture to Lamb Weston Inc., separating the paths of the Meijer family and the Lamb Weston company.
However, the family did not wish to do so without expressing its heartfelt appreciation to the current and former employees of Lamb Weston EMEA. The employees of Lamb Weston EMEA have played a significant role in the company’s success and the family is deeply grateful for the contribution that they have made. As an expression of this gratitude, The Potato Foundation has been established. A public benefit foundation managed by (former) employees of Lamb Weston EMEA.
The Potato Foundation is a separate entity and dedicated to support the local communities of (former) employees of (former) Lamb Weston EMEA factories and offices. Focus areas are Education & Development, Sport & Culture, Health & Well-being. Employees and former employees are invited to submit proposals for socially beneficial projects and public benefit organizations (PBO) in need of funding. More information will follow soon.
With this email we would like to introduce the (former) employees who have accepted a role in the board of the foundation:
- Esther van Weele – HR Officer at plant Kruiningen, representing the factories and offices in the Netherlands
- Ceren Orhan – Channel Manager Foodservice, representing team members based in the Middle East
- Daniela Bock – SHE Manager Austria, representing Hollabrunn
- Bill Garner – Plant Logistics Manager, representing Wisbech
- Ad Huissen – former Payroll Manager representing EMEA team members who have in the meantime retired from the company.
