Stichting Hoogerzael offers a new activity thanks to a donation from The Potato Foundation.

During the 15th anniversary of Speelhof Hoogerzael, the cable car was put into use by the mayor.

With the donation from The Potato Foundation, this nature playground in the green oasis near the center of Middelburg, which runs on volunteers and donations, can expand its activities with a so-called “zip wire.” An extra experience that children from the region are grateful to be able to enjoy. The first user during Speelhof Hoogerzael’s super fun 15th anniversary day was Mayor Yvonne van Mastrigt. She glided several meters through the air under the watchful eye of young and old.

Speelhof Hoogerzael

In Hoogerzael, children can climb, jump, romp, get wet, experiment, roll in the mud, inspect creatures, run around, or test their balance on a raft. With a scoop net, the children explore life in the ditch, such as dragonflies, fish, or frogs. Schools are also welcome. There is plenty to play, learn, and discover. It’s great that the entire site is accessible free of charge between sunrise and sunset.

Safety

In this nature playground, many children can do what is no longer possible in many places: run around and play carefree. There are no fences or barriers, and very few rules, except to be considerate of each other and not to break anything. Parents or guardians supervise their own children. The water is for playing in (not swimming) and all play equipment complies with AKI safety regulations (TUV) and is inspected regularly. The Potato Foundation is delighted to be able to add a wonderful activity to this nature paradise for children, which is accessible to everyone.
