A History of Heartfelt Impact and Growth
After 28 years of co-ownership of Lamb Weston/Meijer VOF, the Meijer family has chosen to take a step back, marking a new chapter in the journey between the family and the Lamb Weston company. However, this decision comes with a deep sense of gratitude toward the current and former employees of Lamb Weston/Meijer VOF, who have played an integral role in the company’s achievements. The Meijer family is profoundly thankful for the dedication and contributions of these employees over the years.
The Potato Foundation was created as a public benefit foundation, managed by both current and former employees of Lamb Weston/Meijer VOF. The foundation is devoted to supporting the local communities tied to the Lamb Weston/Meijer VOF factories and offices, past and present. Employees are encouraged to submit proposals for socially impactful projects and public benefit organizations (PBOs) in need of funding.
The foundation provides funding for initiatives that focus on education and development, sports and culture, and healthcare and well-being. Through this initiative, current and former employees can actively contribute to building a more inclusive society where everyone, regardless of age, financial situation, or background, has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
